The Tour

Introducing the easiest, most fun and most convenient way to do Oshkosh - catered camping on the airfield! Since our first tour to Oshkosh in 1997, over 900 people have joined our annual pilgrimage to this great aviation event.

Join our group of likeminded aviation enthusiast from, not only all over Southern Africa, but also from Europe, Australia and the USA. We offer two options – “All the Way” from Johannesburg or “Join in the USA” - Chicago or Oshkosh.

This tour departs Johannesburg Saturday 21st July 2012and arrives in Chicago the next day. A luxury coach then departs with the group from O’Hare International arriving at our campsite at about 17h00 Sunday afternoon. On arrival, find your tent and settle in! The show starts the next day and runs right through to Sunday 29 July, the day we depart. We spend Sunday night in Chicago (hotel accommodation) and leave the next evening, Monday 30th July. Our flight back is via Amsterdam, where we catch the daylight flight to Johannesburg, arriving at O R Tambo at 21h00 on Tuesday evening. Airfares, transfers, accommodation in tents with bedding and breakfasts are included in the price plus one night hotel accommodation in Chicago. Breakaways can be arranged either before the tour or after.

If you have Voyager Miles or will already be in the USA, you can join us either at O’Hare in Chicago or Oshkosh. Our coach departs O’Hare Terminal 5 at about 13h00 on Sunday 22nd July and gets back to O’Hare at about 14h00 on Sunday 29th July. Price includes accommodation in tent with bedding, EAA camping fees, transfers between Chicago and Oshkosh and all the great services we provide in the campsite! Single person supplement is R450. If times and dates don’t fit in with your schedule, you can join us in Oshkosh. Car passes can be arranged for the campsite and there are busses between Chicago, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh. We also offer special family packages – please enquire!
