The Tour
The tour is designed for both those who want to ride to Sturgis from a point somewhere in the USA and for those who want to fly/drive
directly into Sturgis. Our flights leave from Johannesburg and fly to Chicago via Paris, from where we’ll catch connecting flights to
Rapid City or bike hire points elsewhere in the USA. On arrival in Sturgis you’ll find our campsite ready and waiting for you, tents
with bedding, gazebos, braais – you won’t have to take any camping equipment with you at all!
The tour departs Saturday 7th August 2010 arriving in the States the next day, Sunday, the day before Sturgis starts. From here
we’ll transfer to Sturgis where we spend the next week in the Sturgis area. We’ll experience some of the most beautiful bike rides
in the world – The Badlands, Mount Rushmore, the Blackhills, we’ll spend time in downtown Sturgis, one of the main malls for the Rally,
visit the Knuckle Bar and Full Throttle Saloon and get to see a couple of legendary rock bands from past and present.
Sturgis ends on Sunday 15th August. We’ll begin our trek back to SA the next day, arriving back in Johannesburg on Wednesday morning.
For those who want to stay on in the USA, no problem. Breakaways can be arranged, you must just travel with the group one complete leg,
either going there or coming back. As we travel through Paris, breakaways can also be arranged in Europe.

Riding to Sturgis
This is of course the proper way to do it! Bikers from all over the USA will be descending on South Dakota,
so you’ll never be alone on the road.
Bike rentals are under big pressure, especially in the centres closer to Sturgis. Renting a bike may require
changing your destination in the USA, but don’t worry, we’ll assist with all that, and advise where you will
be able to rent bikes from. You will only be required to do the actual hire transaction with the rental company.
We suggest try and hire a couple of bikes from one destination and ride through to Sturgis in a group. We’ll
assist with route planning and hotel bookings en-route. On arrival at the campsite you’ll find everything up
and running, you’ll not have to lug camping equipment along with you on the bikes..
